..to get sold.
I remember last year, there was flurry of activity right around this time of year. Seemed like there were a number of sellers who saw fit to do whatever was necessary to get sold before the holidays. A similar segment of buyers, recognizing this, got off the fence and made their move.
Lately, I've been working a lot of floor time. Floor is when you actually sit at the reception desk, and any sales or listing leads that come in by phone you have first shot at. It can be very fruitful, or it can be slow. But you never know until you work it. One of the biggest deals I ever made came from floor, so I tend to take it more often than most people. Lately, we've had some people out with injuries and sicknesses, and people have been asked to cover their floor time, so I've taken on a couple of extra shifts. They are only 3 hours at a time, and if it's slow, you get to catch up on tasks, and other things, like updating your blog. (guess where I am as I write this)

After this, I'll be holding an open house, and I expect to get a reply from an offer I wrote with some buyers yesterday, so it could be a pretty busy day.

Some time during my busy day, I hope to get a visit from my daughter, who likes to bring me a sandwich while I am working. That's the best part of my floor shift. Not necessarily the sandwich, but the hugs and smiles that come along with it.
